How I can prevent vaginitis?

Do not have vaginal intercourse or sexual fluids exchanged in the following cases:
  • You or your partner receive treatment for bacterial vaginosis, yeast infection or a sexually transmitted infection
  • He believes that one of them has an infection.
  • You do not have at hand a condom or female condom
.
Vaginitis develops more rapidly when moisture in the vulva. Be sure to do the following:
  • Keep the area around the vulva as dry as possible.
  • Wash the vulva frequently with mild soap and water.
  • Rinse and dry thoroughly after washing.
  • Dry the towels before reusing.
  • Use only your own towels, do not share.
  • Avoid sitting with a wet bathing suit.
Avoid anything that feels it can irritate the vulva or vagina. Do not douche unless recommended by a provider of health care.
